Ron Packard, founder of K12, visits DWCHS/ DubaiPosted: February 11, 2014
Meet Ron Packard (left), founder of K12 Inc., and a member of K12’s board of directors.
Mr. Packard plans to form a new company focused on technology-based learning programs. His new venture, which has yet to be named, will be owned by an investor group led by Safanad Limited, a New York and Dubai investment house. K12 will own an initial minority stake of more than 25%. One major difference between the new company and K12 is that the new venture will develop classroom-based digital learning programs internationally
Ron visited DWCHS and had a thorough meeting with Ms. Maya (right) and key members of K12 and DWCHS teams, where he saw how the “blended learning” model works using the K12 high-quality American curriculum.
